Ritchie Regional Health Center will host its Ritchie Regional’s 2024 Annual 5K Walk/Run, Stepping on Hunger Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024 at 8 am.

They are kicking off National Health Center Week by combating hunger in the surrounding communities.

All proceeds and donated on-perishable food items will to be local families in need.

Same day registration begins at 7 am in front of the Ritchie County Court House.

Join them for the Kids Fun Run following the 5K Race.

The 5K race is part of the River City Runner and Walker series.

All participants are asked to take a non-perishable food item.

Registration fees are $20 for pre-registration and $25 for race day registration. Make checks payable to: Ritchie Regional Health Center.

The Kids Fun Run is free for kids ages 0-11. Free tee shirt, while supplies last and participation ribbons.

5K age categories for both female and male include: ages 5-13, ages 14-19, ages 20-29, ages 30-39, ages 40-49, ages 50-59, ages 60-69 and ages 70 plus.

Trophies for overall runner and walker will be awarded along with medallions for top three in each category.

First place will be awarded for both male and female for both walker and runner.

Restrooms will be available.
